When it comes to custom labels, there is no cookie cutter solution or recipe that serves as a “one size fits all.” Every customer has specific requirements, whether it’s the shape, size, design, etc. However, here are a few essential parts that we take into consideration:
Liner:
- The liner is the bottom layer of the label, and it backs the adhesive prior to removal
- Although this is usually immediately disposed, it can still be customized to make application easy and efficient
- For example, we can slit the liner of an overlay, so it can be easily removed without damaging the label itself
Adhesive:
- Adhesives are what makes the label stick
- Some of the factors that determine the adhesive are how long the label is expected to last, what elements the label will be exposed to, and what type of surface the label will be applied to
- Learn more about adhesive testing and how your label manufacturer can help you determine a best fit
Face-Stock:
- Face-stock is the material that the contents of the label are printed on
- Similar to adhesives, the face-stock will be determined by what elements the label is exposed to
- Face-stock is also determined by the look of the label you want to achieve
Once we provide our customers with a solution that meets all of their requirements and expectations, we document the specifications and create a recipe specific to their order. See how we meet your specifications over and over again!
