Part of an ongoing series exploring common terms for UL Labels – CSA C22.2 No. 0.15: This is the designation for the CSA (Canadian) standard that covers Marking and Labeling Systems. While similar to the UL 969 Label and Marking Standard, some test methods differ. As a result additional testing is necessary to grant a Canadian Recognition. Products found to be in compliance with the Canadian Standard are marked with the UL Recognition Mark for Canada (cUL). The standard is broken out into categories which include the following:
Category Name
Marking & Labeling Systems
Marking & Labeling Systems – Printing Materials
Category Code Number (CCN)
PGDQ8
PGJI8
Labels produced under this standard are considered cUL Recognized Components. As such they require special core labels to signify compliance for any UL inspection.
